BEGINNER FRIENDLY!
During this 6-week course, students will develop handbuilding skills while creating two functional lamps: a hanging pendant lamp and a table lamp. This class is open to all levels and is perfect for anyone interested in learning or refining handbuilding techniques. Along the way, we’ll explore beginner slab and coil methods, practice sketching and measuring, review inspiration images, and cover advanced finishing techniques.
Included in the class:
Weekly 2.5-hour sessions over 6 weeks
Wiring for both of your light fixtures
One complimentary 13 lb. bag of Bmix clay (upgrades available)
Use of studio tools and glazes
Firing for all course projects
Access to open studio hours on Saturday and Sunday from 12–5 pm
(students may reserve up to two hours per day)Masks optional
