Coffee Dripper Workshop

Learn to throw your own ceramic coffee dripper in this focused 2-hour wheel-throwing workshop!

This workshop is all about mastering the shape and proportions of a functional coffee dripper. We’ll break down the throwing process step-by-step, focusing on creating an even, consistent form and developing the control needed to repeat the shape.

The full 2 hours will be dedicated to throwing, giving you plenty of time to practice and refine your technique. At the end of the workshop, the instructor will demonstrate how to trim and finish your coffee dripper. Since your piece will still be wet at the end of the workshop, it will remain at the studio to dry.

Workshop Options:

$125 — Throwing Workshop
Includes 2 hours of instruction focused on throwing your coffee dripper. Members can return during their regular studio time to trim their piece.

$150 — Workshop + Trim & Bisque Firing
For visiting students or anyone who would like a more complete experience, this option includes a follow-up studio session (during open studio hours Sat & Sun 12-5pm) to trim your coffee dripper/s, as well as bisque firing. Please allow 1-1.5 weeks for the bisque firing.

This workshop is best suited for students with previous wheel-throwing experience who are comfortable centering and opening clay.

Glaze firing is not included. Glaze option can be made upon request.
