Altered Forms
Explore the joy of creating dynamic designs by altering wheel-thrown forms! The course introduces you to various altering techniques including faceting, ribbing, darting, paddling, stretching, carving, cut outs, joining, etc. You will end with a culminating project that combines multiple parts, applying various techniques you learned throughout the course.
Altering on wheel part 1 (faceting, spiral throwing, flowy lines)
Altering on wheel part 2 and slabs (using slips)

Glazing
This course is ideal for students looking to go beyond basic bowls and cylinders, and who want to explore more technical builds with support. The focus will be on developing your skills in precision, design thinking, and functional craftsmanship, with space to explore your own creative direction within each project.
The class group is kept small at 8 students to allow for more one-on-one attention with the instructor.

2.5 hr. weekly classes over a 6-week period
A free bag of clay (13lb Bmix)
Select Upgrade to opt to upgrade your clay to a 25lb clay of your choice.

Access to the studio during open studio hours, Saturday & Sunday from 12 pm - 5 pm (students can sign up for two hours each day)
