4-Wk Handbuilding Course: Mini Sculptures Thursdays, 6:30-9pm, June 25 - July 16
Thursday Evenings 6:30-9pm
June 25 - July 16
Taught by Ahn Lee
Experience Level: No experience needed
Focus your handbuilding practice through scale, intention, and experimentation—without the pressure of making a “perfect” piece.
In this 4-week course, you’ll create a series of small sculptures (8 inches or less) through guided prompts and in-depth demonstrations. Working at a smaller scale allows you to explore ideas more freely while building precision and control.
Each week centers on a different construction approach—solid building, coil building, and slab building—giving you a strong foundation in essential handbuilding techniques. You’ll have time to learn, practice, and develop each method while creating one resolved piece per approach.
The course concludes with a glazing session, so your finished sculptures are ready for their final firing.
Open to all levels—whether you’re new to clay or looking to deepen your handbuilding skills with a more focused, exploratory approach.
