During our 6-week course we will cover the foundations for handbuilding. The three techniques we’ll cover can be used for sculptural or functional ceramics pieces and we will also go over glazing techniques. In each class you’ll be able to apply the techniques demonstrated to make finished pieces such as mugs, planters, or vases!

Class 1 & 2 - Coil Building; make a planter and a vase

Class 3 - Slab Building; make 1-2 mugs

Class 4 & 5 - Personal Projects

Class 6 - Glazing!

Included in the class:

• 2.5 hr. weekly classes over a 6-week period

• A free 12 lb bag of B Mix

• Tools and glazes

• Firing of your class pottery work

• 2 hours a day of access to the studio during open studio hours Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm
