Sin Ceramics

Sin Ceramics is by far my favorite. It mixes pottery with function in a playful manner! Think about coiling in the non-traditional way, how can you place a coil in your everyday? Sin Ceramics has used coils to build a fruit bowls, light fixtures, and candle holders. While coils don’t seem fun, think about them as a building block to what you want to make. Typically coiling has been used to layer and blend together, but Sin Ceramics has singled out the coil and uses them as a key line to their work.

Want a fun project? Try out your own coil bowl. Get a gigantic bowl and start hand building and placing your pattern inside the bowl. Make sure to score and slip!
